The White Hall Fire Department is made up of community volunteers.  It is staffed by a Fire Chief, three Assistant Fire Chiefs, and fourteen fire fighters.  The department has three pumpers, one tanker, one rescue response vehicle, and one transport vehicle.  In 2005 the fire department received itís new pumper truck.  The Fire Department is housed on Drummond Street.  The department responds to fire and rescue calls in White Hall, Patterson, Hillview, and in the rural areas surrounding these communities that are in the White Hall Fire Co-Op Unit area.

Fire Chief

Garry Sheppard serves the fire department as Fire Chief.  Fire Chief Sheppard joined the department in 1979 and was promoted to chief in 1998.  The Fire Chief is chosen by nomination and election by the ranks of the fire department.  Fire Chief Sheppard resides in White Hall with his wife Carrie, and are the parents of three grown children Andy, Adam and Ashley.
